Civil society organisations, clinics, hospitals, governmental institutions and policy organisations can sign-up to the European HIV testing week by emailing hiveurope@cphiv.dk You will also be able to sign-up online from the 18 September 2013 via the testing week website www.hivtestingweek.eu
What does it mean to sign-up?
By signing-up to the European HIV testing week you are indicating that you intend to take action during the European HIV testing week to increase and improve HIV testing activities in your country.
There are several ways to take action, and you can decide which activities you would like to implement, but here are a few ideas:
Recruit other organisations to sign-up to HIV testing week
Help to create a list of places in your country where individuals can access free, confidential and voluntary HIV tests
Host testing week events/activities
Raise awareness amongst at risk groups regarding the importance of HIV testing
Support and/or implement activities that seek to normalise HIV testing in health care settings
Lobby policy makers around the importance of improved access to HIV testing
The European HIV testing week website will launch on 18 September 2013 with materials and examples to support you in implementing local testing week activities. The name and country of organisations who sign-up will appear with on the testing week website www.hivtestingweek.eu
Is there any funding available to support participating partners with testing week activities?
Unfortunately, direct financial support will not be available. Instead HIV in Europe would like to support your organisation by offering a range of template materials, ideas for HIV testing week activities, a platform for sharing experiences and a condensed compilation of the evidence and European guidelines available on HIV testing. All of which will be available on the website www.hivtestingweek.eu

Banner adverts
Compilation of evidence for scaling up HIV testing,
Factsheets for use with the media and policy makers
Toolkits to support testing week implementation, engaging with partners and working with key opinion makers
Template launch news release
What languages will materials be available in?
The materials listed above will be available in English, Russian, Spanish and Portuguese, but you are able to request the translation of testing week materials into other languages on a first-come first-served basis by emailing hiveurope@cphiv.dk
