The 1st Call for Proposals is launched on 23 August 2010. The deadline for submitting project proposals is 29 November 2010.

EUROPEAN AIDS TREATMENT GROUP: Call on the Government of Lithuania to ensure monitoring of HIV patients according to European standards

In early May 2010, your Ministry of Health released the Order no V384, stating that although HIV monitoring tests are free-of-charge, the Republic of Lithuania could no longer provide the required funding to make them available. This means that patients need to pay for the expensive testing out-of- pocket. We call on you to repeal the document and ensure adequate funding for those monitoring tests which are imperative for controlling HIV and ensuring good health of People Living with HIV in Lithuania.

Open Letter to the Romanian Government

We are writing with great concern in order to point out a situation which is taking place in Romania at this very moment. Despite the fact that the local authorities have committed repeatedly to ensuring universal access to treatment for all HIV positive patients eligible for it, there are people who are facing an earlier death because of the incompetence of the very same representatives. These authorities are directly responsible for putting together and implementing the procedures of acquisition of specific antiretroviral treatment which is vital for the survival of people living with HIV and AIDS.

Peer-Driven Interventions for IDUs started in Latvia and Lithuania
